ESR report back: GO RAD (International Society of Radiology)

I recently attended the ESR and wish to draw the attention of all members and particularly the academic institutions and all the registrars to an online virtual journal project which is being promoted by the ISR.

Online Access to selected up to date articles from seventeen current major journals is free via the GORAD link.

ISR GO RAD project (http://www.isradiology.org/gorad/).

GO RAD is a global outreach program developed by the International Society of Radiology. The purpose is to reach out to and advance radiology education through the ISR global radiology community by aggregating current, practical, radiology literature with content targeted and dedicated to developing nations and medically underserved populations. Most major radiology journals publish online and offer educational content of tremendous value to radiologists and other related healthcare providers, but open and easy access to just published content is only available to subscribers. Through agreements with our cooperating radiology journals, the GO RAD platform provides immediate open access to a limited amount of otherwise restricted access content, providing an electronic link back to the original on-line article, at the time of first publication. There are many other educational features on the ISR virtual campus website as well, (http://www.isradiology.org/), such as virtual congresses and on-line textbooks.

I hope members will be able to benefit from this facility.

Thank you
